Root, Stem, Leaf, or Fruit?

Are the vegetables we eat the stem, fruit (flower), leaf, or root of the plant?
Some of them kinda stumped the 7th graders!

Not all work sometimes!

The 7th grade boys did a GREAT job getting the fall newsletter to press.
Very proud of them and thankful for the work they took off of my plate!

Our field trip to the corn maze two weeks ago was tons of fun ~ great problem solving!

Harvest is in full swing in the area.  This is a photo of my husband in the combine.  Please continue to keep all farmers in your prayers for a safe harvest.  The yields so far show God has blessed us greatly.

Back In Time

The life science class began an experiment on Friday that will take a couple weeks to complete.  Sometimes its hard to wait that long to see what will happen!

The 5th and 6th graders are leaning about Henry Ford and the assembly line.  They had their own assembly line on Wednesday making "candy cars".  The first ten minutes only produced a handful of cars, but the kids were very quick to "fix" the problem and put two people on hot glueing the wheels.  They ended by producing 40 more cars in twenty minutes.

We had a GREAT time Monday afternoon looking at and riding in the Model T and Model A.
