Section 1

Descibe American immigration during the late nineteenth century.

Section 2
Explain the need for and the hazard of railroad consolidation.
Describe the growth of American's railroad network in the late nineteenth century, including the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
Name two important inventors of the late nineteen th century and explain the significance of their contributions to technology.

Section 3
Define capital (in economic sense).
Name three kinds of business organizations and describe the benefits and limitations of each.
Explain the way corporations obtained money to expand industry.
Define a trust.
Explain the significance of Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller to the growth of big business.

Section 4

Name two important labor unions of the era.
